findingyour100 | Finding Your 100 | I'll never see Shrek the same again. I'm writing this as a short guy, no punches are pulled. If you're a big girl, you'll have some people defend that, if you're a tall girl the same, if you're a big guy, you'll get some defence but generally short guys - it's seen a very acceptable.
Now, life isn't fair and so you roll with the punches but for my short men out there. I think it's important we carry ourselves with a sense of value and worth in the person we are created as. For me, I was designed exactly as God wanted me to be, my height is perfect for me. If it's not perfect for her, or him, or them then that's their problem not my own.
You make sure you embrace your height, it's part of who you are. Being short I learned how to be funny, to have thick skin, to hold my head up high. It's harder to do that when people automatically look down at you BUT, the advantage is we have the opportunity to build the character to maintain confidence in a variety of situations.
So my brothers in the league of extraordinary short men, don't let society or culture make you think or feel less desirable or less respectable, powerful or strong. We're perfectly made for our own races. -
