Leg training today. There are times it's tough getting in here, but from the looks of it i havent skipped, a beat with my training as some would say. Shoulder day. Front dumbbell raises facing your palm to the ceiling. It can be an alternative for the low cable raises that you do at the gym. You can do this at home with just a pair of dumbbells and I promise it gives you the burn on your shoulder.

These pictures were taken about four years apart. I have made a lot of progress in that time, but I know there are people out there that could do even better. That's what I wanted to talk about today. 
A lot of people just getting started with their fitness journey get caught up in the details. Believe me, I know exactly how that feels. From high intensity interval training to fasted cardio, there is a ton of content out there. It's easy to get lost in the sea of information.

That's what I wanted to talk about today. A lot of people just getting started with their fitness journey get caught up in the details. Believe me, I know exactly how that feels. I wanted to make sure that you don't get "analysis paralysis" like I did along the way. Looking back on these four years, I realize that I was too busy jumping from one fad to the next instead of sticking to a consistent plan. Whether you are just getting started or are years into your journey, the same advice applies: Stay consistent. It doesn't matter if you have a perfect plan, expensive equipment, or all the supplements in the world. None of it will make a difference if you aren't consistent in the first place. Everyone has a different fitness journey, but those who make the most out of their effort can all attribute it to this principle. Let's make sure these next four years are even more successful 💪

But even though I've lost a bit of my mojo lately, I look back at old pics like this one on the left and I'm nothing but proud of what I've achieved. I've come so far over the years not only physically, but mentally. It has been an adventure of highs and lows in transforming from girl on the left to girl on the right! All the ups and downs that I've experienced along the way have built me into the person I am today. And I'm finally in a place where I'm comfortable with me.
Yes there is a long time between these pics. It doesn't matter how long it takes. It might take you 10 years or 10 months... who cares...? It is not a race, it's never a race. Nor is it a competition! My journey and my goals are unique, just as your journey and your goals are unique to you. Do not compare your road to the road of the person next to you! They will never lead to the same location... Do what's best for you, find what works for you... .
This right here is my motivation! Even though I've been in a rut I know that it's not permanent and I've only got to take a look at how far I've come to know that I'm so much healthier, stronger and happier then I was back then.
