Well, what next? I honestly don't have a plan. Marathon training is over and it feels a bit weird to not have something lined up to train for. But, I do know that my body needs rest. The next couple weeks, I'll be focusing on walks, SUP, hikes, yoga, Pilates and strength training. I think a little reset does the body good!

I really love Chris Kresser's analogy (from Revolution Health Radio) that our bodies metabolic reserve is like a bank account. If you have more withdrawals than you do deposits, you're in the negative and you can't do much with negative funds. The last few months have been stressful and I've been asking a lot of my body. On top of training and working, I got two 48hr stomach bugs in 30 days. (It was awful!) So now it's time to make some deposits, in the form of self-care, and recoup so I can get back to feeling 💯. I'll miss my long runs but it's not permanent, just necessary so I can come back stronger. Instagram Photos | videos | post

Railroad tracks possess a Timeless nostalgia which have a tendency to transport me back in time...if you could travel back in time, When and where would you go? Instagram Photos | videos | post
