Great progress with @richardbalchin yesterday. First impact session and first time running in over 6 months. 
He has really turned a corner in recent weeks due to a lot of time and effort in the gym. 
Lots more hard work to follow due to the complexity of the surgery but we will be there every step of the way.

This 74-year-old man strained his hamstrings a few weeks ago; he is now doing nordics as a part of his rehabilitation. 
I asked him if he wanted cushions to protect his knees but he refused. .
For as long as he can remember, he has been working out 6 times a week. He loves hill running, cycling and rowing.

Today I talk about Courage from my latest blog post:⠀ Courage Up and do it anyway! Even though I'm a specialist physio with so much experience, part of me sometimes thinks "I'm not a good enough at public speaking to share my story!" There will always be excuses or reasons we make up in our heads that hold ourselves back. The best way to overcome these is to face them head-on! Take a deep breath. Acknowledge that you are scared. Courage up...Ask for support if you need it! And do it anyway! This has been my recipe and I have done this with the help and support of my mentor and my amazing friends and family. I also this with my clients in rehabilitation. It also takes practice to know when this not enough monster shows up in your thinking, your actions, your words. It takes practice and conscious awareness to change this mindset pattern. I've found this to be true for myself. And once I did the things that I worried about it, always felt anticlimactic. "Like wow; was it really that easy! 👉🏻 Im heutigen Video zeige ich dir eine gute Progressionsstrategie, damit du deine Patellasehne wieder auf Vordermann bringst.

1️⃣ Stell dich mit beiden Beinen vor eine Box.
2️⃣ Exzentrik = Verwende nur das verletzte Bein und heb das andere vom Boden ab.
3️⃣ Konzentrik = Verwende beide Beine um wieder aufzustehen.
🔄 Fang mit 5 langsamen Wiederholungen an und steiger dich langsam auf 10. Mach die Übung am besten mehrmals täglich.

W tym tygodniu zakończyliśmy 3 miesięczną współpracę z moją podopieczny Olą. Jestem bardzo dumny, ponieważ udało jej się zrealizować wszystkie plany jakie założyliśmy sobie przed rozpoczęciem treningów:
Wzmocniliśmy ciało, pozbyliśmy się bólu kolana, zwiększyliśmy beztłuszczową masę ciała.
Dodatkowym efektem była lekka korekcja postawy oraz poprawa kobiecych kształtów :) oto co sama Ola ma do powiedzenia:

It's really important when bike fitting to look at the rider from all angles.

Our Bioracer motion system provides simultaneous bilateral analysis, which allows us to detail every single anatomical variance e.g sitting off to one side of the saddle, from the top, side and rear.

Foundation: si empiezas y no dispones de técnica o material suficiente como por ejemplo si entrenas en casa o en un gimnasio convencional.
Strong: si quieres hacer énfasis en la halterofilia y en fuerza.
Daily: si quieres llevar el entrenamiento un escalón más con sesiones de 90’ pero con opciones escaladas para aprender los movimientos más complejos. Si eres máster o teenager.

▪️¿POR QUÉ estos movimientos? Como veréis cada uno esta realizado en un plano de movimiento, con el fin de reclutar el mayor número de fibras musculares y trabajar de la manera más global posible.

▪️Arms Out DB Squat: Trabajar con el DB tan alejado de nuestro centro de gravedad nos obliga a reclutar mucho más la cadena posterior para mantener el equilibrio. El peso del DB no debe ser excesivo para la capacidad de nuestros hombros.

▪️One Leg Glute Bridge: Buscamos el máximo rango de movimiento posible de la cadera guardando el core activado en todo momento. Trabajar por separado los miembros inferiores es importante para mejorar asimetrías y descompensaciones.

▪️Banded Lateral Walk: Con la cadera en ligera flexión para activar glúteos medio y menor y teniendo siempre en cuenta el alineamiento pie-rodilla. 10 Metros con cada pierna.

Saturday morning rehab.

Now 4 weeks since I tore the ATFL in my left ankle, progress is going well! I do this drill along with the rest of my balance and proprioception work at least 3 times a day. Honestly, it’s getting tedious, but discipline and commitment are the reasons I’m way ahead of where I should be at this stage!

Saturday Gratitude

2 years ago I set out to deliver my own thoughts and opinions on what Physiotherapy can be, to show anyone who wanted to listen, read or see that you can continue to train like a beast, even when pain feels like it's stopping you in it's tracks, and that you are in complete control of that pain.

This week, I treated the 50th person who sought me out to help them. This might not seem like a lot, but to me it's a huge achievement on top of running a full time clinical role within the NHS. There is no greater compliment than someone putting their time, money and trust in you to help them.

If you've ever seen me in person, read my content, shared it or asked me anything - thank you. This wouldn't be possible without you, and I can't wait to help the next 50, and the next 50 after that...and so on!

I want to work with you, and you've got plenty of choice if you're in and around the Chelmsford area.

Deformità in collo di cigno seguente una frattura di P2 di 3 mesi prima. Dopo il trattamento con tutore notturno e diurno, esercizi mirati di propriocezione e TENS, ha ottenuto un buon recupero con la totale remissione del dolore e pieno ritorno alle attività.

Manipulacija je metod ručnog delovanja koji obezbeđuje istovremeno odstranjenje funkcionalnog bloka uz pomoć brzog, snažnog pokreta male amplitude, koji se sprovodi u položaju prethodno dostignutog maksimalnog mogućeg pokreta u zglobu.
