You don’t have to be afraid of missing a workout. You don’t have to be afraid of stepping outside your routine. I believe in sustainability. I believe in promoting a lifestyle that emphasizes the importance of health and happiness. We’re all going to have a different opinion on what balance is. I believe that balance is bringing your own healthy lunch to work instead of ordering pizza everyday with your coworkers. I believe that balance is working out when your body is able. I don’t believe balance is skipping family functions, outings with friends, and special events because you think you have to stay home and eat broccoli. I don’t believe balance is dragging your ass to the gym even when your body aches for a break. I believe this is self-sabotage. I believe this is dangerous. This is unhealthy and this is not sustainable. I know it can be hard to find balance. I struggle with it too. But you deserve to live a normal life just like everyone else. You should not feel guilty for eating something that doesn’t fit your macros. You should not feel guilty because you missed a workout. Don’t work yourself too hard. Just because your legs don’t feel like rubber, doesn’t mean you don’t need a break. Just because you don’t feel the sensation of hunger, doesn’t mean you’re not hungry. I made my own success by trying new things and making mistakes. Do what you need to do to live as happily as you can and don’t let anyone make you feel guilty for taking care of yourself.
