We are so conditioned to think that if we eat certain types of foods, we are going to gain weight, or we are making ourselves chronically unhealthy because of that one piece of pie on Thanksgiving. I want you to ponder this concept for a moment as you approach your holiday meal: indulging in your favorite foods has less to do with what it is and more to do with 1) how much of it are you eating? and 2) how often are you eating it? ⠀ ⠀ ⠀
To use an example I sent to a nutrition coaching client recently, if you have a donut every day and you’re in a calorie deficit, you will lose weight. But you will likely reap better health benefits by having overnight oats instead of the donuts. It’s not about “this is bad” and “this is good,” it’s about having that on occasion... but is there something that will better contribute to your general health that you can have more regularly? ⠀ ⠀ ⠀
If we can work together to nix this idea of punishing ourselves over “bad food” and instead focus on how we are nourishing our bodies, I think we will all have a much easier time reaching and maintaining our goals! ⠀ ⠀ ⠀

I wake heavier every morning,
The night's scorn turned to dust,
That sits upon my chest,
And turns to ache in sleepy protest,
Until I'm wide awake.

I dowse the fire with open flame,
And hope the brightness simmers,
Until at least the day can sever,
The dull embrace of fruitless endeavours, 
Sends tired eyes to rest. 
Then when dreams,
Can turn to hours,
And whisper slow to sleep, 
And dust departs from open mouths,
And holds uncertainly. 
And I for one wonder less,
Through the moonlit hours, 
Spent amongst the tawny thorns, 
Asleep amongst the flowers. .

Hello friends! How are are all of you doing?😄 ↪QOTD: Rainbow shelves or by author and series?💕
I currently have rainbow shelves which are so aesthetically pleasing but some of the series that I own are not together which makes me slightly annoyed but yeah😂 
I had a lazy day today but I did managed to write my daily word goal for Nanowrimo and finish one of my school projects.👍 And I spent the rest of the day just mindlessly scrolling through YouTube🙈 and so not regretting it😂

I'm nearing the end of Hunted which is good. Well the end is pretty predictable but it was a very nice and quick read for me so i really enjoyed it.👍I'm planning to finish it tonight and start writing a review of it in my blog soon!❤ Still deciding what I should read next as well, if you guys have any recommendations, drop them down below!❤ Ken over at @nerdyreadings tagged me to do the #fivefavouritefoods tag, it's way overdue btw😂 (thanks, Ken!💕): ❤Pepperoni pizza!🍕
